# Google Rolls Out Gemini 4 Argon for AI Search

> Google has officially released Gemini 4 Argon, enhancing AI capabilities in Search and across various platforms. It is aimed at solving complex, multi-step tasks more effectively than previous versions.

Google [announced](https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/models-and-research/gemini-models/introducing-gemini-4-argon/) it is now rolling out Gemini 4 Argon to the public and that includes in Search within AI Mode and Gemini. Google wrote, “ [Gemini 4 Argon](https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/models-and-research/gemini-models/gemini-4-argon/) is now globally available today for developers and enterprises via the API in [AI Studio](https://ai.google.dev/aistudio) and [Gemini platform](https://console.cloud.google.com/agent-platform/studio/multimodal;mode=prompt?model=gemini-4-argon&region=global), for [Google AI Ultra subscribers](https://one.google.com/about/google-ai-plans/) in [Google Antigravity](https://antigravity.google/), and Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers in the [Gemini app](http://gemini.google/) and [AI Mode in Search](http://aimode.google/).  

**How to access it.** If you are a Google AI Ultra and Pro subscriber, you should see it as an option in the Gemini model selection drop down.

- “Built to solve your hardest problems, Argon brings big improvements to tackling nuanced, multi-step tasks in AI Mode. It’s better at understanding your intent and following your instructions in back and forth conversations.”
- “Available starting today for Google AI Pro & Ultra subs, tap the ➕ icon to switch over to Argon and test it out.”  

**What is Argon 4.** Argon 4 is Google’s latest AI model that should have substantial improvements over the 3.X releases. Google wrote:

> “Argon excels at deep work in complex, real-world tasks across domains including coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity, and science. Its depth and precision across multi-step tasks leads Argon to outperform other frontier models on [benchmarks across domains](https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/models-and-research/gemini-models/gemini-4-argon/#workingharder), ranking #1 on the [Vals Index](https://www.vals.ai/benchmarks/vals_index), which measures model performance across critical economic sectors like finance, coding, legal, and tax work.”  

**Why we care.** Google is constantly improving its AI models to improve how it responds to queries, coding requests, and all sorts of things.  

As search continues to evolve with the help of AI, so will these models, with the aim of improving overall search quality. So you should try to test out these models and see where you brands fall for your top queries and questions.
